MILITARY SERVICE RECOGNITION BOOKS
Saskatchewan Command is still accepting submissions for these books. The fifth printing of this book is now at the printers and is scheduled for distribution in the spring of 2012. The books are to be placed in educational facilities such as schools, libraries, community centres, town halls etc. so that the public can view and enjoy these books for years to come.
Submissions are being accepted for the sixth printing that will be distributed in 2013 and beyond. Maybe your Branch could take this project into consideration for your area Veterans? These publications will go a long way to help the Royal Canadian Legion in our mandate as the “Keepers of Remembrance” so that no one will forget the selfless contributions made by our Veterans, past and present. All Veterans, new and old, families or Branches can submit pictures and a short paragraph for inclusion in one of these future books.
You will find a submission form in this issue of the Hi Lites. Please feel free to copy as you wish for your submissions. Send your submission to the Command Office in Regina along with a photograph of the service person. The return address is at the bottom of the form and please keep in mind the pictures cannot be returned.
