OUR PROVINCIAL PRESIDENT

Comrade Brent Wignes was elected to the position of Provincial President in October of 2011 at the Provincial Convention held in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
He has been a member of the Royal Canadial Legion since 1973. He was the national President of the Tuberculous Veterans Section of the Royal Canadial Legion for the years 2004-2010.
He has held the positions of Provinical 1st Vice President, Provincial Vice President, District Commander, Zone Commander and Branch President of the TVS Branch No. 78, SK.
Honours and Awards to date include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Certificate of Merit, the 75th Anniversary Medal (Legion), the Queen’s Jubilee (50th) and the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal.
Brent is married to his wife Wendy and has four children and one grandchild. He and Wendy live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Brent has been very active in his own home branch as well as serving on many provincial and national committees over the years.
He is very active helping to prepare the yearly Remembrance Day service in Saskatoon, SK and is chairman of that committee. He is also heavily involved in the Saskatoon Military Museum and also enjoys participating in sporting events at his home branch as well.
